Re: ROTJ Octagons

I looked at Palpy's arrival and they are always out of focus, I couldn't find a shot clear enough.

Re: ROTJ Octagons

That being said it got me intrigued enough to go through ROTJ and watch it now, these are shots from my TV (so excuse the quality) but they definitely show a capper on the top of the octagon. So no idea where the "plain octagon" came from. Image clearly shows a plastic cap on the octagon, more promi...

Re: ROTJ Octagons

I'm going off of the CRL which pictures an ANH with chicago screws and an ROTJ without. The pilots in my Garrison also follow this principal and are approved as such. But the best way to solve this is to talk with your Garrison GML. After all it will be his decision that decides whether it is suitab...

Re: ROTJ Octagons

i was under the impression the tie pilots we see in rotj were from unused anh footage ? if that's true why would the octagons be different :?: :? If that was the case they wouldn't have different chestbox and facial markings to the ones we see in ANH ;) Though I'm sure there is a possibility that s...

Re: RS Propmaster

RS are accurate and approvable. The main complaints of the kit are that the materials used are quite thin, the helmet hosing insert points need to reinforced to prevent swift cracking and stress issues as well as the other end in the chestbox, I have also heard of other points straining. I would def...

Re: RS Prop masters TIE Pilot Armour and Chest box

Hi CodeGray,
Feel free to PM me if you haven't got in touch with someone in Vic yet. I can add you to the ANZ Flight School Facebook group and get you pointed in the right direction. There are plenty of pilots in Vic happy to help and get you started on the road to the Imperial ranks! :P

Re: ROTJ Octagons

My GML wasn't sure on the question and sent it further up the line to clarify. This was the information returned in case anyone else was wondering: "The ROTJ octagons should be flat with no visible attachment method." This is correct. Unlike ANH where you can have the chicago screw go through the o...

Re: Why are the shoulder straps so...

....god damn long? When put in place where they look correct to original armors, it's way to long for you to get the chest and backplate clamped together. There will be a huge gap back, or both pieces will be so far down it will only look stupid. You'll have to attach the straps / octagons quite fa...

Re: Anovos color/shine match armor and chestbox

Despite the TIE armour being black, each kit usually has a different shade, so unfortunately the best to go with is a dealer in which they develop the whole armour set so you can be sure that the finished product will be uniform. Otherwise if you truly want a uniform paint scheme from mixed vendors,...
