the front/back of the armor is asymmetrical, so yes, it "looks wrong", but that's where the straps come into play ;) For "which is which" from the first picture, the top piece is the Back piece, and the lower piece is the Front piece (more tapered, plus has the Stormtrooper-like pectoral muscles).
