Re: Noob getting armor...

Lol, yeah. Can't blame you really. If I were to order now I'd probably go for MC or maybe TA and then replace the greeblies. If it doesn't come in time then you can wear the RP which has it's bonuses, like being able to see properly. :)

Re: Noob getting armor...

Yeah it's really confusing but it's the way it needs to be. As Straight Razor said you'll get the hang of it sooner or later. I actually do have a guide of who does what and their respective levels of accuracy etc. but it's not finished yet and with my new build I doubt it will be for a couple of we...

Re: Side strapping accurate?

Original feature mate but they're inside the boots. They're also worn outside on the ANH footage though, it's really odd like it's almost intentional.

(To my knowledge this doesn't appear on RPs.)

Re: Side strapping accurate?

Oh I know it's an ace shot. I actually took it from here, can't remember who posted it though I think it was Chunk. It is a ROTJ shot and is from the hanger bay at Elstree like the other promo shot of the gunner, probe droid and TIE pilot. You can actually screen match the black and white image thou...

Side strapping accurate?

As I'm sure those who have trooped without side strapping can attest the chestbox pulls the entire rig forward and you end up wearing your armour way too low. This doesn't seem to happen on screen used suits with chestboxes and armour being in the right place even in the behind-the-scenes shots. htt...

Re: FAC Armor build

Lol, ok... I was a bit confused with why you were asking for details of the bins when you were put off. Oh well, the written word strikes again. :) And yeah, we're way easier than clones. The reason why you can't see that thread is because it's in the Ace of Aces section which is 501st only but I'm ...

Re: FAC Armor build

Welps, that locks it in for me. I was thinking about placing an order, but this thread just put me over the top. Don't worry so much. This thread just states that you may have more of a wait than you are originally quoted but to be honest this can occur with anyone for anything. For instance, at wo...

Re: Rubber trim-screen acurate!?!!

Ok, I've been doing some research in to this as I could never work out why the trim appears to be lifting on all the straight on pictures. Well, to me it looks like it is US52 after all just instead of being stuck to the side of the armour it's stuck to the side of the return edge. There's a nice pi...

Re: FAC Armor build

I know what you mean by the waiting times. It is really frustrating when you just want to get everything. Though in this case at least you know they'll come through for you in the end and you'll end up with a quality product. And yes, I agree, more transparency with lead times (not just from FAC) wo...

Re: FAC Armor build

Benji, one of our guys got his TS stuff after about 6 months so I wouldn't be surprised if you'll have to wait another 8 weeks or so. Any less and I'd be surprised/impressed that they're clearing their backlog so quickly.

Re: DL armor update?

Craig, do NOT get pin striping tape from eBay. I did that because my local motor shop closed down but found that the thickness varied to an unbelievable extent.

You will also find DL's communication is actually superior to the other company you have dealt with.
