Re: Armor sits really high, how to lower?

Yup. Totally agree with RBJ. That armour position is good.

Re: ROTJ Octagons

I am planning on doing a ROTJ version Tie pilot. I noticed that the pic in the CRL has octagons without the Chicago screws (armour pic) but the main pic there are Chicago screws holding them down to the armour. No indication whether they are held by screws or not in the written section and as I am ...

Re: Adjusting shoulder straps on a thin Pilot

The straps need to be visible.
I suggest securing the armour first with strapping, then add the shoulder straps afterwards. This way you can position the octagons a little lower on the armour.
You can also shorten the straps a little.
Does that make sense?

Re: ROTJ Octagons

Ha! Now you see the issues we have trying to tie down (excuse the pun) the exact requirements for a CRL!

At first it seems simple, then bam! Wait... what...?!

Re: ROTJ Octagons

The 3rd hose is definitely in ROTJ and the rocker/switches are also different. This is a real tough one to define the exact and every difference

Re: ROTJ Octagons

If a TIE pilot is seen on screen in ROTJ then surely it's classed as a ROTJ pilot, irrespective of whether it was filmed for ANH or not.

This domed-cap or no-domed-cap is an interesting one indeed. Time for me to review both films again this weekend.... (like I need an excuse! ;-) )

Re: ROTJ Octagons

My GML wasn't sure on the question and sent it further up the line to clarify. This was the information returned in case anyone else was wondering: "The ROTJ octagons should be flat with no visible attachment method." This is correct. Unlike ANH where you can have the chicago screw go through the o...

Re: How far I'm tie pilot

It's your choice for blaster. Most pilots have a mixture of E-11, DL-44 or Power-5. In my opinion, an E-11 would have been too large to carry in the cockpit, the DL-44 was a banned weapon, so the Power-5 would be the best choice. If you fancy having an SE-14, then that's fine to. Remember though, yo...

Re: TK chest mod

It's always worth going Reserve Pilot first.
Once your armour is ready, you will then have the option to troop with and without lids.
That said, the number of troops at the UKG seems to be on a slow down over winter.
