return edge on armpits

Hi

I have a front and back chest armor from Boba Taff (who is no longer in business). I wasn't so sure about his cut-lines on the "armpits" of the front and back pieces so I cut them larger than the line, but this results in a bit of a return edge.

Should the armpit parts of the front and back have a return edge? If not, I'll cut up to the line and call it good. If so, then I'll leave it be.

I had a slight return on the edge of my "armpits" (MonCal armor). It is extremely slight. Hope that helps
