TIE "AC System"
So I am patiently waiting (trying to, at least lol) for my TIE kit and wanted to get your thoughts on a cooling system I was concocting. How feasible would it be to put fan(s) in the chest box, along with a small ice pack or something similar. I figure since there are hoses and what not. I think it would be neat, since the chest box clearly would be part of the life support system.
Has anyone tried this, or know if it would even work? I know ATAT drivers might benefit from this as well.

I'm curious about the same thing. Although hadn't thought about the ice. I would be concerned about condensation with that though. But I like the idea of a squirrel cage on each hose.

Cool! Hahahaha pun intended. I should be ordering my gear soon. If I could just get EVO to respond. I'm not decided on the armor and chest box yet either.
Looking forward to what you discover

I have fans in my chestbox, but never tried putting ice or anything in there. The fans in the chestbox works well for me, I tried with the fans in the bucket, but the constant buzz of the fans drove me loopy.

I understand the thought, is just putting frozen water in the chestbox in the sun sounds like a dripping pilot waiting to happenThubin wrote:The ice thought is because it's July.... in full black... in the Southern US. lol

Re: TIE
Well to be fair, I'm thinking ice packs or something else enclosed. I originally was thinking dry ice, but I'm not sure I want that much CO2 in an enclosed bucket loltoxication wrote:I understand the thought, is just putting frozen water in the chestbox in the sun sounds like a dripping pilot waiting to happen

Re: TIE "AC System"
I haven't tried this yet but thought one of the small blue ice packs would work best for the AC effect, they would just lay in the bottom of the chest box & could easily be swapped out with a new one. TI 50680
