RS Propmaster

Post by UtahManAlex »

Hi I'm a new Cadet looking to get a a full armor set. I'm wondering if this assembled armor from RS Propmaster is 501st approved and if anyone has gotten it through them in the past. http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/co ... ommission/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks!

Hi there, please note that no armour is 501st approved. There are vendors that are considered reputable and if it assembled well and fits you well, the costume gets approved for you specifically. My garrison has a TK in an RS commission, but others may chime in with feedback on the RS commission for TIE Pilots.

RS are accurate and approvable.
The main complaints of the kit are that the materials used are quite thin, the helmet hosing insert points need to reinforced to prevent swift cracking and stress issues as well as the other end in the chestbox, I have also heard of other points straining. I would definitely reinforce these points and probably around the ear, lens and teeth points as these are normally the places that it thins out.

But all kits have downfalls and accuracy is the prime issue, so if you don't mind putting in a bit of extra work, then there should be no issue.

I was just approved in my RS Propmaster ANH TIE Pilot commission last week. The only thing I did was replaced their comm pad with one from Tarq and added the boots.
