Shoulder strap fitting

Post by TheRutherford »

I am building a WTF TIE Kit and using Targworx sholder straps. When I drilled my first hole and put in the Chicago screw, I had a lot of extra room. I only did the octagon plate up to the rubber covered elastic strap. When I realized I had the extra room during an armor party, it was suggested that I need that rubber part on my chest and back piece and the Chicago screw should fill that gap. Is that what you all recommend doing? When I've looked for videos of making the armor, I only find videos on building the helmet and chest box, not connecting the chest and back armor. Any suggestions?

I also have the Targworx shoulder straps. Pics would be really helpful. Mine was missing the Chicago screws so I’d also appreciate knowing the size of the screw used. Thanks in advance!
