Some people just use industrial Velcro, and others use a couple of bolts and wing nuts.
The latter is what I do, just because I figure its a little more solid. But considering that space is completely hidden, go with whatever you're comfortable with. Velcro goes on and off quicker, but bolts are more sturdy.
I haven't been doing too much with the armor right now. A little busy with Christmas and all of that good stuff But, I got an offer to buy a smaller type of helmet that should look better for my smaller body size. I can't remember the name off hand... I'm having a brain fart I guess, lol. I'll post it when I find out. The good thing is is that it's already put together but I will have to fill in the ears (I guess that type of helmet needs it) and paint it. Pics will come once I get it of course So that means I'll just have to focus on the chest box now and get that spiffy.

I'm going to an armor party this Saturday! I can't wait to get back to working on it after taking a break from it over the holidays. I'm hoping to get a lot of great info and help from others and get it done

Here is a pic of the DP helmet that I bought from a fellow 501st member. Better helmet size for me since I'm smaller. Needs eyes changed, "ears" on the side straightened, holes for the tubing cut out, holes in the mouth cut out and repainted...
Yesterday we got the eyes and tube holes cut out. Also used a heat gun on the side and got them straightened out. I still want to put a piece of wood in the ear cavities to keep them straight.

Where did you order your chest armor from? I am small and mine is very big on me. I need to find something smaller that is easy for me to move around in and not bump my helmet all the time.
