Armor case
Well with my armor hopefully "soon" to be a reality, I am curious what you guys use to safely transport your plastic bits. Is it simply using some tupperware containers with foam inside? That tends to be what I've generally seen, including some nice tupperware hinged cases, almost looking like a cooler, and I'm really impressed. Also for foam, where would be a good source to get foam that keeps the parts from sliding around inside the container?
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Re: Armor case
my 21 gallon Rubbermaid with hinges made from the leather ankle straps on my boots has done sterling service for going onto five years.
I have my chestbox inside my helmet, which is in a bag, and the armor is laid over the top of that. The gloves keep the front and back armor plates from rubbing the tub. Hoses go on he sides, alongside my blaster and anything esle thats going in. If needed I can get the flightsuit in there, too.
The only part that is padded is the inside of the helmet bag. its 1" craft foam from JoAanns, cut to fit and properly support my DL helmet and keep the pressure and weight off of the earwells.

Re: Armor case
mine fits my situation (back seat of my car) but i understand that a lot of people would like to have everything with them in one container.

Re: Armor case
I use the stanley case with wheels on it. Fits everything and also my repair kit.
Black Duct Tape, velcro, extra batteries, etc. I can fit it in the backseat of my Honda Civic.

I'll be honest though. Its overkill. The only reason I like it is because it has wheels and its easy to get to a changing area from the car. It also makes a great bench to sit on after a troop.

Re: Armor case
Unfortunately, during a high wind day a huge truck passed me at just the right moment and sucked my bin, bungies and all, right out of my bed, hit the road, then got vaped by the road and into the ditch. Luckily no cars were behind me.

Re: Armor case
The wind sucked the top open then the whole thing got torn out luckily (if this is luck) is none of my gear was in it. It was kinda bizarre watching it blow out in my rear view mirror. So I won't be getting another bin for back there any time soon. I think I'll go for a tronndeau top.

Re: Armor case
I get all my kit (with the exception of my helmet) in a standard suitcase with wheels
The lid I simply carry in a motorcycle helmet bag.

Re: Armor case
I've got a hard shell suitcase for my kit and my helmet in a helmet bag. I've flown with that up to Queensland for Dreamworld troop and it survived quite well. The bucket I took as carry on.
I'll post pics once I get home, but I layer it out as:
front armour on bottom
folded flight suit in the middle
back armour
a thin layer of foam
chestbox facedown
Sitting above the armour I have my boots plus gun & holster.
My belt, officer's cap, hot + cold underarmour & a support crew shirt all in the lid.
Between the lid and bottom is a two pocket pouch.
1st pocket - Gloves & balaclava
2nd pocket - Comm Pad(s), Aker, mic, and a couple of other little bits.
There is also another small pocket that runs the length of the case. I there I carry my x-tools, spare batteries, scissors & double sided tape, and any extra little bits.
