Re: MonCal questions
Listen to Blackwatch. He is wise!!
Five weeks? Are the actually giving that as a turnaround time? When I ordered mine from them last March 2nd, I was told 10-12 weeks, which should have been mid-May. But then, MC got involved in the Lone Ranger movie, so I guess that's why it took 5 months to get mine. And then, I had to pay a lil extra for them to rush ship it so I could have it the weekend before Celebration 6.
But, on a good note, I love my MC gear! Probably order from him again, when I start my Snow Scout build sometime in the next year or so.

Re: MonCal questions
It takes time and patience is the key. My order is supposed to ship by the end of next week, I've been waiting for some time now but when it gets here I will be extremely happy. So I say place your order, get the rest that you need to get your RP done and knock out some troops.

Re: MonCal questions
My MonCal TIE armor took 7.5 months for delivery. Happy with it once it did come in.

Re: MonCal questions
Yes. Like most folks have said. MC's stuff is fantastic, but once you order it, be patient and don't get discouraged that it takes some time to actually get. I've ordered a ton of stuff from them and the items always arrive. Just take their delivery estimates and any updates, including, "we will get it shipped out sometime next week" with a TON of salt.

Re: MonCal questions
One thing that's helped as I bumble through my armor assembly... the included MonCal included CD that has how-to pics. I printed the pics and put them in order with a spiral binder, so I could flip through the steps while working on the armor in the garage. It also helped for making notations on different steps, like measurements, etc. Didn't want to bring laptop /cords out there, as I've already knocked an ipad onto the floor out there. Twice.
