Hi Folks!
I have a little problem with pop rivets. I got my armor from bobataff with the static shoulder straps. now I want to change them with the rubber shoulder straps. But I'm a little afraid to do some damage to my back armor where to straps are fixed with pop rivets.
I'd search the internet a little bit, and some say the best way to remove rivet's is to drill them out. But I'm not sure about the heat when you drill. Are there better ways to get them out??
Any sugesstions would be helpful
thx

Re: Pop Rivet Problem
Drill them out with a 4mm sharp drill bit but put the speed down on the drill
just drill the head off the rivet you can then push the rivet through the hole ( thats what i do )

Re: Pop Rivet Problem
correct.
if for some reason it will not drill off, which has happened, you can grind off the head with a dremel, which is basically how we remove certain aircraft rivets on planes.
